If you mulling over hiring a wedding planner, just do it. It will be the best decision you make.
Wedding planning can be stressful (even my friends have turned into bridezillas) and this should be such an awesome chapter of your life, but juggling work life and wedding planning life you can easily get wrapped up in the pressure.
I have said this so many times, wedding vendors can make the world of difference, it really is a WEDDING TEAM effort and the one vendor that will make your wedding planning process a breeze is the wedding planner.
Hiring a wedding planner might sound like it’s an expensive luxury, especially if you on a tight budget, but to be honest with you, it’s a necessity.
Here are some of my reasons why I think a Wedding Planner should be part of your forever day.
1. Creating & Executing Your Wedding Vision
Okay so you got the ring, you have planned your wedding mood board and you decided on your colour palette, theme and decor style.
So now what? This is where your Wedding Planner will show you the first reasons why you should hire them. They know all the best places and people to hire for your dream wedding backdrop.
A great wedding planner will not only help you tick the boxes of the long “to-do list” but they will take time to really get to know your and your fiancé. Building that trust early on in your wedding planner relationship is so essential to help the bridal couple create designs that are not only beautiful but within their budget. Forming your formidable vendor team to bring those inspirations to life.

On the wedding day your wedding planners full-day job is making sure that everything happens exactly when it is supposed to. You don’t need to worry about the time, that is their job.
They will be organising your vendors (making sure everyone is doing what they suppose to), making sure the bridal party is ready to go when they suppose to during the ceremony, they make sure the drinks are served, when its time for the wedding cake to be cut they make EVERYTHING effortless as though you suppose to be there at that very moment.
Their calm, easy and gentle guidance throughout the day without demanding or rushing will allow you have the most amazing, fun and stress free day of your life!
This day is a once in a life time moment and is meant to be celebrated with your family and friends and worried about schedules, timelines or constantly looking (or asking) what’s the time.
A wedding day is a full day and there are so many aspects and layers to your day. From getting ready, the ceremony, the confetti, the family photos, the bridal party photos the BANGING couple session, canapés, starters, speeches, dinner, cutting of the cake, first dance and if you decide to throw the bouquet and toss the garter. There is the next day clean up, these are just to name a few. Why would you want to be in charge of this. Let the professionals take this responsibility from you.
Another factor to consider is transportation times. If you your ceremony and reception take place in different locations, make sure you allocate more than enough times to get from one to the other. I was give an extra 10 minutes on most things, consider traffic, weather delays or alternate routes. How many trips need to be organised, who is responsible for the transportation you or your guests and a wedding planner will know all of this. Trust them.

They will make sure that everything is running smoothly, making sure guests get their arrival drinks, get enough confetti, entertainment is on time, making sure the food and wine is on time, the schedule is running accordingly, they will make sure that the taxi’s would have been booked for your guest, the list goes on and on.

I left the most important reason why you should hire a wedding planner for last. They will ensure that your forever day goes smoothly. The ONLY JOB you will have on your wedding day is pop the champagne with your bridal party, sit back, relax, think about walking down the aisle your partner, the love of your life. Mingle with your friends and family, eat cake and dance the night away.
Everything else is taken care of and your wedding planner will do it with a smile on their face. For them, the success of your day is their success.
