It’s not often that I get to photograph a wedding when it’s “someone I know”, but when Ashleigh asked me to be their wedding photographer it was such an honour that I would have even been considered.
Ash and Taegan from that first coffee date at Le Fournil and listening to the beginnings of your love story. The fact that Taegan wrote on the back of a Pansy Shell “Will you marry me” already I knew we will get on famously. It was so easy chatting to you guys about your lives, the vision of your big day and what a wonderful thought that a first kiss, can actually be the first kiss!
Your entire wedding party, family and your close friends… They were there for you, to call upon witness of the promises you two made to each other. Your ceremony was beyond special and as the mist came through the forest it felt that we could have been in another country. Ash when I saw you for the first time on your wedding day, you gave me such a nervous smile and the laugh when I asked you “what are looking forward to the most”, we all knew the answer! Then when you put on your dress, it was as though you transformed, I had to take another look, absolutely breathtaking. I think the word finally came to me. You looked regal Ash!
Taegan! Your nervous and warm smile when I first saw you was so special and your love for Ash is so evident. Throughout the day, the little looks you gave her whether she was saying “hi” to family, chatting to friends or when we were at the beach was so awesome to witness. Your beyond kind words during the speech about me, even though I felt awkward (it was so NOT expected) it was so appreciated, thank you!
I honestly can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two. I might be stalking a little!
Enjoy the honeymoon!
