WHY COUPLES CHOOSE IT
Why couples choose Barrington's
Barrington’s is the sociable one, Plett’s first craft brewery, a smokehouse kitchen with its own garden, and a small hotel upstairs, all looking over the green of the Piesang Valley. Weddings here take the whole place over: gardens for the ceremony, the character interiors for the party, your people sleeping where the party ends.
It suits couples whose favourite weddings are the relaxed ones, good food, good beer brewed metres away, and a venue that already has personality before a single flower arrives.

THROUGH SHARYN’S LENS
Photographing a wedding at Barrington's
The valley gives the gardens their green backdrop, and the brewery gives the interiors their character, copper, timber and warm bar light that photographs like a place with stories. I’d run a Barrington’s day from garden ceremony through valley-view portraits into that glowing interior evening.
And with the town’s beaches five minutes away, a short sunset escape to the sand is entirely on the table.
PLANNING AROUND THE LIGHT
A timeline shaped around your date.
Sunrise and sunset shift throughout the year, so there is no single perfect ceremony time at Barrington’s. I build each timeline around the sunset time on your actual date, the ceremony space, the weather and the valley greens by day and the warm brewery interiors by night.
MAR TO SEP
March – September
The sun sits lower and golden light arrives earlier in the afternoon. The valley holds soft light through the afternoon, earlier ceremonies keep a comfortable garden window before the interiors take over.
OCT TO FEB
October – February
Days run long and the light stays strong late. Long evenings favour later garden ceremonies, with the option of a five-minute hop to the beach for sunset before dinner.
YOUR DATE
Your personal timeline
Once your date is confirmed, I work backwards from sunset and create a photography timeline around your ceremony, portraits and reception, with enough flexibility for weather and the unplanned moments that make the day yours.

My work nearby.
I haven’t photographed a wedding at Barrington’s yet, these nearby galleries are minutes away, and I’d love to add this venue to the list.
