A forest-clearing ceremony is a photographer’s brief written by nature: filtered canopy light, no harsh hour, green in every direction. I’d pair the bush chapel with garden portraits toward the mountains, then let the fire-lit function room carry the evening warm.

Sunrise and sunset shift throughout the year, so there is no single perfect ceremony time at Bella Manga. I build each timeline around the sunset time on your actual date, the ceremony space, the weather and the forest canopy’s filtered light and the garden’s mountain view.

March – September
The sun sits lower and golden light arrives earlier in the afternoon. The clearing stays soft all day and the gardens catch low gold by late afternoon, ceremonies sit comfortably early with the fireplace evening after.
OCT TO FEB
October – February
Days run long and the light stays strong late. Long evenings favour later bush-chapel ceremonies, with garden portraits as the Tsitsikammas colour.
