Robberg Nature Reserve, adventure session and a stunning couple, equals bliss!
I think I have known Louw for maybe 8 years or so, we initially started following each on Instagram, you know when it was Instagram was still awesome. I was amazed at the quality of photos Louw was producing living in Pretoria, not exactly the most beautiful place in the world and limited in terms of comparing it me photographing on Robberg and Keurboomstrand. I think we had a mutual appreciation for each others work.
When I finally met him it was like we were life long friends. We had a “City Of” meet up in Cape Town with our fellow “City Of” members and we drank too much wine, climbed up Lions Head, drank more beers, watched sunsets, captured sunrises, ate Mexican food, lost a tripod, nearly lost Louw and River in a freak wave incident, took too many photos of each others and created life long bonds and memories!
I think we both grew professionally (I started my business in terms of becoming a professional photographer) and Louw finding him mo-jo with sparklers, confetti and lights. He is a magician!
As life happens, we get partners who turn into life long partners and when Louw was bowled over by Christine, it was tickets and he just knew, she was the one. They got married and decided to honeymoon along the Garden Route and I was lucky enough to catch up with their super busy honeymoon schedule, we got to spend an epic afternoon on my favourite place on earth, Robberg Nature Reserve!
Christine it was so lovely meeting you and finally I can understand why Louw is smitten, you are a stunning human both outside and inside and I wish the honeymoon bliss never leaves you two. Louw, friend, you have chosen well, look after this one!
I can’t wait to grab a glass of bubbles with you two!
