Finally we meet and laugh
Most of us know all about 2020 and those that planned weddings had to be aware that they might have to move their date a couple of times. I learned during these crazy time that we had to be flexible, understanding and compassionate.
Cordelia and Steven’s plans were to get married at Tsala in December 2020, but our friend covid had other ideas and then we played around with dates and things didn’t seem to get better. They decided to “just get married” in their garden with their nearest and dearest around them. When Cordelia emailed and said she still wanted me to photograph them in their wedding attire, I was so humbled that she still wanted me to be a part of their LOVE celebrations.
We played around with some location ideas, but we finally settled on Kranshoek View Point in Harkerville, what an underrated location. Fynbos and rugged coastline, can you get anything better?
I fell in love with Cordelia’s wedding dress, the lace is nearly 90 years old, it was her grand mothers, what an amazing story. Cordelia and Steven, THANK YOU for everything. For that champagne spray (AIM FOR ME!), the tea cups, being quirky, definitely the laughs, being total smodels and for sharing your love with me.
I really HOPE we get to shoot again, drink some champagne, find pansy shells and continue laughing together!
