Isabella and Shaun’s wedding anniversary shoot at Robberg Nature Reserve was nothing short of magical. As both pilots based in George, they brought a sense of adventure to their session that perfectly matched the stunning landscape of The Island at Robberg. Isabella had been following me on Instagram for years, and finally getting to meet her and Shaun in person was an absolute delight.
We chose The Island at Robberg Nature Reserve as the backdrop for their anniversary shoot—a location known for its breathtaking views and serene atmosphere. As the sun began to set, the entire landscape was bathed in warm, golden light. It was the perfect setting for a celebration of love and commitment.
From the moment we started shooting, it was clear that Isabella and Shaun were not just partners in life but also best friends. Their connection was palpable, and it made capturing their love incredibly easy. The way they looked at each other, the gentle touches, and the laughter that flowed so naturally between them all spoke volumes about their deep bond.
Isabella and Shaun were an absolute joy to work with. The session was filled with laughter, and their playful energy was contagious. As we moved around The Island, they embraced the moment, letting their love for each other shine through in every shot.
One of the highlights was when they started running up and down the beach, completely lost in the fun of the moment. It was as if the world around them disappeared, and it was just the two of them, celebrating their love in the most carefree way possible. Their joy was infectious, and I couldn’t help but smile as I captured these moments of pure happiness.
As the sun dipped lower on the horizon, casting a stunning glow over the water, Isabella and Shaun decided to take their celebration to the next level. They kicked off their shoes and headed straight for the sea, laughing all the way. The sight of them splashing in the water, completely immersed in the moment, was the perfect way to end the shoot.
The images we captured during this final part of the session are some of my favourites. There’s something incredibly romantic about a couple who’s willing to get a little wet and wild in the name of love. It was the perfect finale to a session that was all about celebrating their journey together.
