They saved the best for last!
I remember the day I received Jeani’s wedding enquiry like it was yesterday, I was actually on my way to the Drakensberg to go and chase the most unlikely event ever, snow in November and I was so excited, I think Jacques must have been sick and tired of my jumps and squeals of delight! I wanted this wedding so badly! It was going to be at Emily Moon. Although I have enjoyed the amazing pizzas and cocktails overlooking the Bitou River during sunset, I have never shot a wedding there.
I was so lucky they chose me! We did a mini engagement shoot at Robberg Nature Reserve and when I saw them and their gold X & O balloons, I just knew right there and then, this was going to be MAGIC!
We chatted so much during that shoot and it was so wonderful to get to know them, what their vision was for their beautiful wedding and don’t even get me started when they dropped a few f-bombs. I was ready to climb into their car and just hang out with them. These are my people!
Jeani & John, their really are not many adjectives that not only to describe you two as humans but also your amazing wedding day! The decor, the ceremony, the gin drinks, the endless cappuccinos, those macaroons, the food, your friends, your family, your AWESOME bridal party and of course the TWO of YOU! I wish every wedding could be like this!
Jeani you radiated unmatching beauty and John you looked good in a suit! :p
Whilst watching you two during the day, wiping tears away and constantly “looking” for each other in the wedding crowd, reminded me of this quote:
Walking with your hands in mine and mine in yours, that’s exactly where I want to be always —Fawn Weaver
