I once again found myself at Nima Lodge, this stunning boutique lodge is set up over the hills of Wilderness, overlooking the Outeniqua Mountain range where you are surrounded by NOTHING!.
Lourens got hold of me and told me of his plans and to be honest, I was a little nervous, I never really get to do this kind of shoot, a bit of lifestyle and homeliness. I was like is this going to be my first Dirty Boots and Messy Hair kinda shoot. I was secretly hoping!
When I met Kiara and Lourens, I literally fell in love with their love for each other and yes I know it might sound cliche and corny, I mean they just got engaged, but this was different. Just the way they looked at each other. You just know. These two are going to be a-okay!
We started off as they would start every day, pressing coffee and savouring each sip as they chatted away, whilst enjoying the stunning view. We followed up by swinging, yes there was a swing on the freakin balcony! I was like, you have got to be kidding me. How stunning is this! Then, we wrestled on the bed and we laughed and giggled and laughed more and more. These two are just amazing.
Of course, no engagement shoot is complete without a popping, spraying champagne and they did it perfectly, we captured the mountain range with the last light and finally ended the shoot, as they would end their day together. With a bottle of red wine, that they made themselves and a fire.
I wish every couple this kind of love and happiness!
