Even the rain couldn’t stop this wedding from happening!
Lelanie & Pieter Uys’s destination wedding (planned everything from the UK) took place at one of my local favourites, Kay & Monty Vineyards, situated up at The Crags, just outside of Plettenberg Bay. They said their “I do’s” amongst friends and family that travelled far and wide to share this next chapter of their lives. Rain was scheduled for the morning and was meant to stop at around 14h00, it didn’t. There was no rain in Keurboomstrand, about 15km away but at Kay & Monty it rained!
Lelanie and Pieter Uys you took the day as it came, not once did I even get a hint of frustration from either of you, as a wedding photographer (and all vendors on the day) I can assure you it was most welcoming.
I don’t think I have ever seen such attention to detail at a wedding from the engraved perfume bottles, to the Married sweeties, the personalised gifts, those awesome fans, the napkins and so much more. You both put in such an amazing effort into the day and it really showed. It was such a pleasure to be part of your day!
Your theme of “Big and Small” was so awesome, little bug necklaces to having our own little photo session with the largest land animals, the Elephants. I don’t think I have giggled so much during a bridal shoot, those elephants were so funny, all they wanted was the bouquets! Too funny!
Lelanie and Pieter Uys, thank you for trusting us to capture your day, the laughs, the kind whatsapps and understanding. I really can’t wait for you to come back and for us to create some AFRICAN SUN magic!
