I think Daniel and I became BEST FRIENDS!
Surprise engagements are both exciting and scary! When Daniel phoned me to chat about his plans, I just knew straight away, this man LOVES this woman and I WANT to be a part of this!
I don’t think I have ever planned more “what if this goes wrong” than I did. We had answers for everything, from why I might be there, then we scratched that idea, why are you taking Sandra to Knysna, okay its their anniversary, we need to pack a change of clothing, no stress we will have her entire clothing attire in the car (they stayed in Plett for the first couple of days and then going to Knysna for a couple of nights), okay, how do we get Sandra to the beach, ermmmm how about we say she is going on a boat trip out of Brenton. We had everything planned. Like EVERYTHING. I went a couple of days before the shoot to send Daniel a few video clips of where to go, where ill be and what Brenton On Sea looks like.
I don’t know who was more nervous, me or him! I was so invested in this! Daniel dropped on one knee and the rest is history (or you can see what happened below)! There were tears (maybe from me too), champagne popping, lots of kisses and the two biggest smiles I have ever seen.
Daniel, thank you for allowing me to be part of your love story, the next chapter of your lives and most definitely a little bit of friendship! Sandra, you have a great man who can’t wait to walk the rest of his life with you!
I wish every couple this kind of love and happiness.
