WHY COUPLES CHOOSE IT
Why couples choose Sky Villa
No venue in Plett sees more of Plett than Sky Villa. The rooftop deck takes in Robberg, the lagoon, the mountains and the sea in one slow turn, a ceremony up here at sunset is essentially a panorama with vows in it. Below, the sculpture gardens and pools give the day its softer scenes, and the one-wedding-at-a-time policy keeps the whole hotel yours.
With rooms for the full wedding party on site (and overflow at the sister Bungalow down the hill), it runs naturally as a weekend: arrive Friday, marry above the bay, brunch with the view on Sunday.

THROUGH SHARYN’S LENS
Photographing a wedding at Sky Villa
The rooftop is the story: it faces everything, which means the light works in every season, the question is only where the sun sets on your date, and I position the ceremony arc accordingly. Golden hour up here is a run of frames you simply can’t get at sea level: Robberg glowing, the lagoon silvering, the couple against all of it.
The sculpture gardens and pool decks give variety without leaving the property, and the interiors are gallery-hung, a rainy day here still photographs like a design magazine.
PLANNING AROUND THE LIGHT
A timeline shaped around your date.
Sunrise and sunset shift throughout the year, so there is no single perfect ceremony time at Sky Villa. I build each timeline around the sunset time on your actual date, the ceremony space, the weather and the 360-degree horizon from the rooftop deck.
MAR TO SEP
March – September
The sun sits lower and golden light arrives earlier in the afternoon. The sun sets over the mountains earlier and the rooftop panorama takes on winter clarity, earlier ceremonies protect the full golden run on the deck.
OCT TO FEB
October – February
Days run long and the light stays strong late. Summer sunsets land late over the bay, later rooftop ceremonies flow straight into golden hour without a gap.
YOUR DATE
Your personal timeline
Once your date is confirmed, I work backwards from sunset and create a photography timeline around your ceremony, portraits and reception, with enough flexibility for weather and the unplanned moments that make the day yours.
THE RHYTHM
The shape of the day
Getting ready → Ceremony → Family photographs → Golden-hour portraits → Dinner & dancing
FLEXIBILITY
Exact times stay personal
Exact times are created for your date, never copied from a generic schedule.

My work nearby.
I haven’t photographed a wedding at Sky Villa yet, these nearby galleries show my work minutes away, and I’d love to change that.

Getting married at Sky Villa?
I photograph above this bay constantly, Robberg, the lagoon, the beaches below Sky Villa’s deck. If you’re marrying here, I already know your backdrop by heart.
