Before Iceland was a “thing” my gran travelled to this land of Fire and Ice and this was one of her last trips, she fell in love with the country and told me (back in 1998) if I can travel to one country, I should come to Iceland. She brought me a souvenir which I still have (and have actually seen in many of the tourist shopping shops).
Iceland (and Greenland) have been on my list forever. I first travelled here in 2023 (after many covid extensions), I can’t tell you how MUCH I LOVE THIS COUNTRY!!
From the first moment I landed here, I have fallen in love with the wide open spaces, the smells, the landscapes, the horses, the puffins, oh my word the waterfalls, the highlands, the black beaches and basalt towers, the midnight sun, the wind, the rain, the snow, the Northern Lights, the crepes, the glaciers, the Ice Caves, the hot springs, the long open roads, the music, the food and coffee not so much, but I keep coming back.
No location has ever been the same, some locations I only got to experience and explore this year because all the previous time it had rained or it was just not possible. I am forever finding new hidden gems, exploring as much as I can to share with you all.
